Money (with sync) App Reviews

I am happy so far with this application, it gives a lot of customization possibilities, it allows to inport in OFX only, but what makes the difference is that it syncs with its iphone app. The points to improve are the look and feel, the brown skin is horrendous, and the category icons are childish, a better design would make this app a killer. Also, the possibility to delete more than one transaction at a time is an easy fix.

Would love to have the possibility to Upload more Bank format such as QIF or have a file converter from XLS/QIF to OFX. Simple APP but very nice for simple personal financial budget. I really hope to see very soon a development for uploading OFX from international bank,

This application is easy to use, but in some transactions, especially in planned several errors occur. Leave a suggestion, let the entries in the credit cards can be played automatically as forecast the bank account. In Portuguese: Esta aplicacao e de facil uso, mas em algumas transacoes, sobretudo nas planejadas ocorrem varios erros. Deixo uma sugestao, permitir que os lancamentos nos cartoes de credito possam ser jogadas automaticamente como forecast da conta bancaria.

I just did not give 1 star because it costed me one dollar, but I honestly expected much more of a 10 dollars app (this is their regular price). My small list of complains after few minutes of usage (and then I gave up): - The user-interface is pretty but not useful - There is no grid edit option (you will always have open a pop-up to edit the records (this is painful when you have lots of records to enter) - In budgeting, there is no option to defined the day when that particular expense or income will occur, plus the only way to define the end date is by entering the date, there is no "until occurs X times" option - There is not Forecast feature…thats for me is a "NO GO" item... Perhaps I am dissapointed because I was looking for a SW to replace iBank…but anyways… It will not be this one...

I liked the app, Im using the iPhone/ipad version also. The sync feature is tricky, you have to do some "install/uninstall" procedures to get the right profile spread across devices. Crashed often on my OSX ML, its very unstable, this is really annoying. Functionally is good, import feature is great and the visual is ok. Almost no buttons and lots of tabs, you have to adapt yourself usage from regular apps. Overall, a good app, Ill be using it believing they will fix the problems, improve the sync and make it better!

I have been using this app for two months ,first it ,I confess I have got a problem with sync. Fortunatelly all my gears work very well also my notebook. My notebbok can see my Ipad and my iphone How can I say awesome You need put more icons available for .

I get very frustrated with the fact that it does not pick up on my system settings and use a comma as the decimal marker and the period as the thousands. And if it does, then I haven’t found it, which is a problem, too. Another problem I have with it is that, unlike the iPhone and iPad versions, then inserting the value of the transaction, I cannot use the currency converter as easily. It should be right there, next to the calculater, as it is on the mobile version. Small stuff that kindda bum me out.

After upgrading my mac to the newer version, the program quits unexpectedly a few seconds after opened. I hope this bug can be corrected soon.

I enter my income and they cannot show the correct amount on the budget page. Three tries and they are out…in the garbage. Ten bucks wasted.

Crashes a lot (OS X 10.7.2). Interface looks nice from a distance, but it isnt as polished as it could be. Not allowing CSV import is a real pain. Also, since I get paid every two weeks the monthly budgeting doesnt help me. Did I mention it crashes a lot? Approx every 5 minutes, sometimes more. This is one of those times I regret purchasing something and become more hesitant in the future. Shame.

I was running the application on my iMac for about 30 minutes trying to sync it with my iphone, and now i am unable to run the app. It says that it is running, but nothing will appear. Wait until an update comes out before purchasing, as I have heard several others have the same issue.

Too complicated, no direct access to acounts and not able to cross reference multiple accounts. I will ask for my money back.

I know that the iBearsoft staff do take customer issues, bugs and suggestions for changes into consideration, because in this upgrade they included fixes to issues that I had with all versions and made changes according to suggestions that I made. I am really impressed with that. Thank you iBearsoft for paying attention to your customers!! (I will probably change my rating later, but I just downloaded the upgrades so havent had a chance to test it all out). UPDATE 07/01/12: I just found the improvements to Import OFX, I love it! Money i knows if something has been imported or if its a duplicate, and it also recognizes the Bank Account the Transactions are associated with. I was 3 months behind and these features alone made catching up so much easier. Thank you iBearsoft! Great Update, I really appreciate it. Definatly a Buy for this app.

Supports OFX file import from your bank account… Yippee! Wonderful, if you want to know two types of transaction… Income and Expense… Doesnt break out the expenses by vendor, business or anything… For $20 youll get an app that tells you how much money you deposited into your account and how much you spent… as two large lump sums… no breakouts what so ever… Those who have given this app ratings above one star must not be using the import option and be manually entering every single transaction in order to have the program define the expenses… As far as them saying how simple it is to learn, thats because they dont want to spend the time to show you how to use it… one page of notes on their site that dont explain anything of value… Havent they learned that making demo or quick start videos is a simple way to ensure a good experience from the start... Dont waste your money! Really, put it to some other use… even if you burn it, Itll be better than wasting it on this app… at least that would give you a bit of a warm feeling…

This app does exactly what it says. Someone wrote its garbage, dont believe it. Its an inexpensive way to track your expenses. What more could you want? Ive tried many different apps costing more that dont measure up to Money. Well done to the creators.

A bit difficult on the initial setup, and some odd jargon -- like "Payment Account" instead of "Bank Account". But after the initial hurdles its proving to be a superior program! One - serious - complaint -- it automatically ticks off as reconciled scheduled auto payments, so when you open your bank account, you DONT have a proper display of what youve confirmed (i.e.: RECONCILED).

We really need to add a searchbox to this app. Sometimes I need to find a transaction and there is no way of finding it easily.
